AGM & Flute Quintet Performance

We are excited to begin the year with a beautiful flute recital in the Berry Uniting Church. Jennifer Ridgway joins us with the Northshore Flute Ensemble. The free performance is to be followed by drinks and nibbles and the Annual General Meeting in the hall.

Originating in Sydney, North Shore Flute Ensemble brings refreshing energy to the local music scene. Formed as a subsidiary ensemble of the North Shore Wind Symphony, a recognised A-grade concert band, this chamber group features flautists Louise Wilson, Marcus Paxton, Adrienne Hanslow, and Jenny Ridgway, Anthony Sahagian.

As a new ensemble, the group has already made a strong impression. In 2024, they competed in the National Band Championship’s Chamber Ensemble Division, earning an impressive third place. Their most recent performance of Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the North Shore Wind Symphony’s annual Christmas concert delighted audiences, showcasing their artistry and musical versatility.

North Shore Flute Ensemble is dedicated to enriching the community through offering a showcase of the unique sounds of the flute, offering blends of classical and contemporary repertoire that highlights the groups collective skill and passion for chamber music.
