Dear Music Shoalhaven friends Last evening, 24 January 2019, at the City of Shoalhaven Australia Day 2019 Awards at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre, our Music Director, Ona Frazier, received a Highly Commended Award for the category, Outstanding Contribution to Arts and Culture. This year is the first time our Council has included this category. We, on the Music Shoalhaven committee, on your behalf, nominated Ona, so that her continuing work for and love of classical music would be acknowledged by the larger community. We are so pleased that Ona has been recognised for her years of commitment to classical music in many varieties—especially through our wonderful Music Shoalhaven. The commendation received by Ona is below. Even though it doesn’t mention Music Shoalhaven, we know that it is due to Ona’s continuing work on our behalf that we have concert after concert, year after year, for our enrichment and pleasure. Thanks for your continued support of beautiful music in the Shoalhaven. Best regards Jan Larson Vice President
